History

You can find the history of Andhra Pradesh on the internet. To briefly mention about it, Andhra Pradesh and Telugu have history dated before 1st century BCE. 

After Independence of India, Potti Sriramulu fasted onto death for the formation of telugu state from Madras state. After his death on early 16th December, 1952, there was an uproar which led to the announcement of formation of Telugu speaking Madras state on 19th December, 1952 by then Prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru. On 1st October 1953, 11 districts (Prakasam & Vizianagaram are formed later course of time) in the Madras State became the new Andhra State. Sri Tanguturi Prakasam is the first CM of the state.


On 1st November 1956, as part of State Reorganisation Act, Andhra State and Telangana region of Hyderabad State are merged to form a united Telugu speaking state of Andhra Pradesh. Sri Neelam Sanjiva Reddy is the first Chief minister of the united Andhra Pradesh.

Andhra Pradesh

After multiple agitations, as part of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act 2014, the state is bifurcated into two states Telangana (10 districts) and residual Andhra Pradesh with 13 districts. Eventually, Sri Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy is the last CM of the united Andhra Pradesh. Navya Andhra Pradesh is formed on 8th June, 2014.

Government

As part of 2014 state elections, people of Andhra Pradesh elected Telugu Desam Party to rule Andhra Pradesh. Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu is the first Chief Minister of newly formed Andhra Pradesh. 

It was estimated to have a Revenue deficit of 16,000 Crore rupees in the coming 10 months for Andhra Pradesh. As part of the public debt, Andhra Pradesh share is Rs. 93,000 crore.
