On 1st March 2014, President's rule was imposed in Andhra Pradesh after the Chief Minister, N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, resigned from the duties. Central rule will continue to run in Andhra Pradesh till 8th June.
There was a delegation of five Rajya Sabha MPs of Congress party met about ten Union ministers demanding special status for the state and fast implementation of assurances relating to infrastructure made in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act. They have discussed about establishing Tribal University, rehabilitation of tribals from affected Polavaram Irrigation project, and other infrastructural investments.
Governor ESL Narasimhan invited N. Chandrababu Naidu to form the government in Andhra Pradesh after winning majority seats.

The Day

Raj Bhavan confirmed that the swearing-in ceremony will take place at Kaza village in Guntur district on Sunday evening. All arrangements are being done in full swing for the expected five lakh people. VVIPs and VIPs will arrive to Gannavaram airport in five special flights. Three helicopters will be kept in airport for VIP transit to the ceremony place. Union ministers, chief ministers and other delegates of various states are expected to attend the ceremony.

Mr. Naidu is going to create history by taking oath as a chief minister for the third time. Hope to see development at full speed in Andhra Pradesh.

Future

A group of industrialists met Naidu and submitted proposal for investment of Rs. 5,600 crore in service, manufacturing and IT sectors even before the state is formed. According to them, Visakhapatnam and Nellore will be the best options for relocation of pharma and IT firms.
